“I should be able to do this, but I never feel at peace. I never feel enough no matter what I do. I have no idea where to go from here.”
|
From a young age we are told who to be. We are told to “work harder”, “be nice”, “look amazing” and on and on and on and on, right?! We are told if we follow all of these rules that things should work, yet they so clearly aren't.
Untangling ourselves from the web of Perfectionism, Low Self-Esteem and Anxiety is one of the most tough things is difficult to do alone.
Why?
When you struggle with Perfectionism, Low Self-Esteem and Anxiety the last thing you want to admit is you need help, I get that. But the web you are in keeps wrapping you more and more tightly. It is the gut in your throat and chest that you wake with no matter what.
It’s leaving the conversation with someone and replaying it all in your head while you silently chastise yourself for being…yourself.
It’s getting off social media and having a parental conversation in your head about how “you’re going to be better” and than waking the next day stuck in the same pattern.
Having this thought run through your head many times a day: “If I could just _____ than it’ll be better”
All of this hard work and painful self-beliefs and you still don’t feel happy, capable of holding onto peace for long and overall enough for your life and for others.
Can I let you in on a secret? You don’t need to do more.
You don’t need to fix or clean your “messy” self up.
You are not fundamentally broken and you don’t need to keep working so hard at covering this up.
This is the Perfectionist’s/Low Self-Esteem/Anxious-person’s cycle.
You’re most likely here because your challenges keep increasing rather than decreasing and this is scary! I can help. You get to be perfectly imperfect at this while we navigate you out of the Perfectionist/Low Self-Esteem/Anxious web.
